What is UV-C LED and how does it work?
UV light has three wavelengths: UV-A, UV-B, and UV-C. UV-C light is a short-wavelength ultraviolet light that breaks apart germ and virus DNA, leaving it unable to function or reproduce. UV-C does not reach the Earth as our atmosphere blocks it. This light is harmful to our eyes, and skin with prolonged direct exposure. You will never see the UV light that is active when it is destroying germs and viruses, but an external indicator on the device will let you know when it is being sanitised.
Is it safe for my phone's delicate electronics?
Yes it is completely safe to clean your phone with a UV sanitiser. It utilises UV-C LED technology similar to those used in medical application to prevent infection. It is like sitting your phone in sunlight for 1 or 5 minutes.
Just how dirty is my phone?
This answer is different for every phone user. If you have washed or sanitised your hands before every time you touch your phone it should be relatively clean. If your phone is exposed in communal areas such as café tables, used in the kitchen while cooking, or the bathroom then it is likely significantly dirtier.
The reality is, our phones pick up germs, viruses and bacteria from every environment it is in. We wash our hands quite often to rid ourselves of the same germs, viruses and bacteria, only to transfer them back to our hands and face from our phones.
What happens if I open the lid during the sanitisation cycle?
To protect you, when the lid is opened more than 30 degrees the unit switches itself off.
Which phones can be charged with the wireless charger?
Any phone with wireless charging capabilities can use the wireless charger. For iPhone: generally iPhone 8 onwards
For Samsung : S6 onwards, Note 8 onwards, and most recent phones.
For others: any phone which offers Qi wireless charging should be supported.
Can I still use my phone while it is being sanitised?
You'll need to leave your phone alone for the 60 seconds it takes to sanitiser in the UV Phone Sanitiser. If an urgent call comes through while it's sanitising, opening the UV Sanitiser to retrieve your phone will shut off the sanitiser so that you can take your call. Don't forget to put your phone back in the UV Sanitiser afterwards and run the cycle again as it may not have finished cleaning.
UV rays can cause sunburn & skin cancer - is this safe to use?
This UV sanitiser is designed for use on your phone & accessories. The UV lights only function when the unit is closed & the sanitisation function is switched on, so there is no exposure to your skin. In fact, it has an automatic shutoff feature so that if it is opened while the UV lights are on it will turn itself off to protect you.
How do you clean this UV Sanitiser?
We suggest to wipe it all over with a clean damp - soft cloth with a mild handwash solution, or use an anti-bacterial wipe. Note that we don't recommend the use of any chemicals as it can discolour the unit.
Does it use any chemicals?
No, it is absolutely chemical-free. This is ideal for anyone with allergies.
Can this cause any discolouration or damage?
UV-C light can potentially cause discoloration with continuous, prolonged exposure to lightly pigmented plastics. However, it would take many continuous hours of exposure to have this effect (similar to leaving your phone exposed to the sun in the open over a consistent prolonged duration).
Can I clean something apart from a phone in the sanitiser?
While primarily created to sanitise smartphones, it can also be used to clean most other personal items like jewellery, watches, keys, coins, glasses, masks, pens etc.
Can I charge my phone at the same time as the cleaning cycle?
No, the sanitising function and the charging function are separate. Simply clean on the 60 second cycle, open the lid and remove your phone, then place it on top to wirelessly charge.
Can I use this to charge my other QI devices like wireless earphones/watches
This will depend on the device. You should be able to charge any device with wireless charging capabilities, following their guidelines (eg airpods need to be in the wireless charging case to be able to charge wireslessly). Samsung watches can be charged wirelessly, Apple watches can not.

Does it come with any essential oils?
