Your phone is 10x dirtier than a toilet seat!

Ever since phones got "smarter" and we started using them more often, articles have been appearing about how dirty they are. 40% of Australians admit to taking their phone into the toilet with them.

Harmful bacteria can come into contact with your hands from many sources, not just in the bathroom. It's why we are being told to wash or sanitise our hands so often during the COVID-19 pandemic. Anything you touch can transfer germs and bacteria onto your hands.

How should I wash my phone?

A quick wipe to remove smudges and fingerprints is not enough, as germs and bacteria are left behind. Isopropyl alcohol or disinfectant wipes can remove these pathogens but at what cost?

Getting into the small spaces can be difficult, such as around buttons and switches, or into the charging port. Using antibacterial wipes gets costly over time, and their impact to the environment is also a big issue.

So what's the alternative?

You need something easy to use
That doesn't take up lots of your precious time
And is free of chemicals, protecting both you & the environment...

UV-C Light - Ultra Violet Light

What is UV-C Light?

UV-C light is one of the three wavelengths of UV light. It is the shortest of the three wavelength, which means it has the highest frequency. UV-C light has been used as a cleaning tool in industry, including hospitals for many years. More recently it has been deployed in New York to disinfect subway trains, train stations and buses.

How does it work?

Utraviolet (UV-C) light destroys the molecular bonds that hold together the DNA of viruses and bacteria. UV-C light is a particularly good option for disinfection because it kills bacteria regardless of drug resistance and without toxic chemicals.

Is UVSAN-Pro expensive?

Unlike expensive brands, UVSAN Pro from Zoomlite costs only AU$90 including FREE shipping to Australia & New Zealand.

Important Information

Given how recently the COVID-19 outbreak has occured, and how closely guarded samples of the virus are due to its contagious nature, limited testing has been done for the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 against UV light.

UV-C light has been successfully tested against SARS and H1N1 which have a similar genetic makeup to SARS-CoV-2. For this reason UV Sanitisers have been flying off the shelves. Get in quickly to avoid delays!

FAQ's

Is it safe for my phone's delicate electronics?

Yes it is completely safe to clean your phone with a UV sanitiser. It utilises UV-C LED technology similar to those used in medical application to prevent infection. It does not use any chemicals, making it great for people with allergies.

Will a UV Sanitiser harm my credit card or bank cards?

UV light is safe to use to clean your credit cards. The oils from your hands are more likely to damage the chip and magnetic strip of your credit card than UV light.

UV rays can cause sunburn & skin cancer - is this safe to use?

This UV sanitiser is designed for use on your phone & accessories. The UV lights only function when the unit is closed & the sanitisation function is switched on, so there is no exposure to your skin. In fact, it has an automatic shutoff feature so that if it is opened while the UV lights are on it will turn itself off to protect you.

Does this clean off fingerprints and smudges too?

No, the UVSAN Zoomlite UV Phone Sanitiser Wireless Charger Pro kills the germs and bacteria breeding on your phone. It won't clean off smudges and fingerprints.

Can I use this to charge my other devices like earphones/watches

This will depend on the device. You should be able to charge any device with Qi-enabled wireless charging capabilities, following their guidelines (eg airpods need to be in the wireless charging case to be able to charge wireslessly). Samsung watches can be charged wirelessly, Apple watches can not.

Can I still use my phone while it is being sanitised?

You'll need to leave your phone alone for the time it takes to sanitise in the UV Phone Sanitiser Pro (3 minutes). If an urgent call comes through while it's sanitising, opening the UV Sanitiser Pro to retrieve your phone will shut off the sanitiser so that you can take your call. Don't forget to put your phone back in the UV Sanitiser Pro afterwards to finish cleaning.
